We are a small congregation in Northern New York, affiliated with American Baptist Churches,USA. We are a conservative, evangelical, and ecumenical congregation involved in evangelism and world missions.

We were established in 1833 as a group of people who wish to win people to Christ, to help Christians grow, and to help people who hurt.

Services are Sunday morning at 9:30.   See the Services Page for a copy of the weekly sermon.

Wednesday evening Prayer & Bible study has been changed!!! We now meet at the church on Thursday mornings from 11:00 to 12:00 noon!  Please come and join us - we meet year round unless the Carthage School District is closed due to snow!  We are presently studying the book of John after our time of prayer for missionaries and the needs of the church. Remember, "Prayer from the pew gives power to the pulpit."

The women of First Baptist welcomes all ladies to join us for meetings several times throughout the year.  We have programs and conduct business, pray for and support several missionaries, and work on providing food for several events.

We are holding the annual Spring rummage sale and bake sale on Apr. 3 - 5 this year at the church.  If you have donations, please sned an e-mail to the pastor at PastorFBCCNY@aol.com or call the church at 493-1232 for more information.

We would love to have a great turn out for this event!

See you there!

See you in church on Sunday!

We are getting ready for the new year of MOPS - Mothers of Preschoolers! We had a wonderful year of meetings with discussions, speakers, and crafts during the 2007-2008 season and we are looking forward to the new season for 2008-2009.  The new theme is Adventures in Mothering! This year, the membership fee includes the curriculum book so everyone will be on the same page at the meetings.  We meet the 2nd & 4th Monday of the month (unless otherwise notified) with programs, speakers, discussion groups, crafts, as well as a program for children from infants through 3rd grade!  We are an evening group meeting from 6:15 to 7:45 PM for those of you who work.  It will be an exciting adventure.  For further information and to find out how to register, contact: FBCCNYMOPS@aol.com or fax to 493-0893 or call 493-1232.

We presently have Plenty of room for more if you care to come and see!

We will get you in touch with our coordinator.  All mothers are welcome!  If you can help, please contact the above e mail address or call 493-1232 and we will contact the appropriate person for you.  Come see what it's all about!
